The third milestone is reached
On October 5, OMI Unlimited passed 15B OMI locked and 750 stakers, the third Season 1 community milestone. The VeVe Gem pool has grown to 130,000 Gems, 30,000 more than it started with, and the new total is already live on the Rewards tab.
- Milestone 1: 5B OMI locked and 250 stakers grew the pool to 110,000 Gems.
- Milestone 2: 10B OMI locked and 500 stakers grew it to 120,000 Gems.
- Milestone 3: 15B OMI locked and 750 stakers grew it to 130,000 Gems.
Every milestone stays reached for the rest of Season 1, and the whole pool is shared among stakers when the season closes on December 31. Season 1 rewards, explained covers how it's split.
By the numbers
As of October 5, 2026 at 13:00 UTC:
- 17.78B OMI locked by 760 stakers.
- 18.9 million Season XP earned so far, with stakers adding about 5.4 million more every day.
- 82% of stakers locked for a year or longer, and 59% chose the full 2 years. Those year-plus locks hold 87% of all the OMI staked.
- 1,463 staking transactions: 762 new stakes, 654 top-ups and 46 lock extensions.
- A typical stake of 10M OMI, with no single stake above 1B.
The first early exit
On October 5, a staker exited early for the first time. As with every early exit, 20% of the stake was deducted and sent to the burn wallet: 225,007 OMI.
Early exit is always available, but it's built to be a last resort. It costs 20% of your stake, and you forfeit that season's rewards unless you stake again before the season closes. Your XP is kept either way.
Next up: 140,000 Gems
The next milestone grows the pool to 140,000 Gems, and this time there are two ways to get there, whichever comes first:
- 20B OMI locked and 1,000 stakers, or
- 25B OMI locked.
The community is already 89% of the way to 20B, 76% of the way to 1,000 stakers, and 71% of the way to 25B. Every new stake and top-up moves it closer, and we'll announce it when it's reached.
