OMI Unlimited runs on Base, so to stake, your OMI needs to be on Base. If it's on Ethereum today, you can now bridge it right inside OMI Unlimited. Your OMI moves 1:1 through Base's own bridge, and you can bridge from the embedded wallet made for you or from your own wallet.
This guide covers every path: from an exchange, from StackR, or from your own wallet. Most people only need a few minutes.
The short version:
- Get your OMI on Ethereum into the wallet you'll stake from, along with ETH on Ethereum for gas.
- In OMI Unlimited, open the Wallet tab and tap Bridge.
- Enter the amount, tap Bridge to Base and confirm.
- Your OMI arrives on Base at the same address, usually within a few minutes. Then stake.

First, a few basics
What's Base? Base is the most popular layer 2 network on Ethereum, offering security, reliability and low transaction costs. OMI exists on both Ethereum and Base, and OMI Unlimited runs on Base.
What's a bridge? A bridge moves tokens from one network to another. When you bridge in OMI Unlimited, your OMI goes through Base's standard bridge, the same one Superbridge uses, so it moves 1:1 with no bridge fee. In OMI Unlimited, bridging moves OMI from Ethereum to Base.
Is my address the same on both networks? Yes. Your wallet has the same address on Ethereum and Base. OMI sent to it on Ethereum shows on the Ethereum side of your Wallet tab, ready to bridge, and it arrives at that same address on Base.
What's gas? Gas is the network fee for a transaction, paid in ETH on the network you're using. Bridging is a transaction on Ethereum, so the wallet you bridge from needs ETH on Ethereum. That includes the embedded wallet made for you: gas fees are sponsored when you stake from it on Base, but not on Ethereum. OMI Unlimited shows the gas cost before you confirm, and lets you know when Ethereum is busier than usual, so you can wait for a cheaper moment.
Which wallet should I bridge from? The one you'll stake from. Bridging works on your staking wallet, the one shown at the top of your Wallet tab, and your OMI lands back in that same wallet on Base.
- The embedded wallet made for you (shown as Privy Wallet in the app) is the simplest option. It's ready as soon as you sign in with VeVe, and gas fees are sponsored when you stake from it.
- Your own wallet, a third-party wallet such as MetaMask, works too. Connect it in OMI Unlimited and make it your staking wallet first (see bridging from your own wallet).
Stay safe
- Only use official links. The staking app is staking.ecomi.com. Check the address bar before you sign in or connect a wallet.
- Never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone. ECOMI will never ask for it.
- Send OMI to your wallet's address, never to a token or contract address.
- When you withdraw or send OMI, check the network. OMI on Ethereum needs bridging; OMI on Base is ready to stake.
- Moving a large amount? Bridge a small amount first.
Always check you're holding the official OMI token:
- OMI on Base:
0x3792dbdd07e87413247df995e692806aa13d3299 - OMI on Ethereum:
0xed35af169af46a02ee13b9d79eb57d6d68c1749e
These identify the OMI token, for adding it to a wallet or checking you have the real one. They aren't wallets: never send OMI to them. OMI sent to the Base address is lost for good. To stake, sign in at staking.ecomi.com and stake from your own wallet in the app.
Step 1: Get your OMI into your wallet
First, sign in to OMI Unlimited with your VeVe account and copy your staking wallet address from the top of the Wallet tab. If you'll stake from your own wallet, use that wallet's address instead. Then find your path below.
My OMI is on an exchange
Most exchanges only let you withdraw OMI on Ethereum. If yours offers Base as a network for OMI, choose Base and send it straight to your staking wallet. There's nothing to bridge, so skip to Step 3.
- On the exchange, withdraw ETH to your staking wallet address, choosing the Ethereum network. Around $10 is plenty. This pays the gas for the bridge.
- Withdraw your OMI to the same address, choosing the Ethereum (ERC-20) network. The exchange takes its fee from the amount you withdraw.
- Wait for both to arrive. They show on the Ethereum side of your Wallet tab.
- Continue with Step 2.
My OMI is on StackR, on Base
You're already set, and there's nothing to bridge.
- Send your OMI from StackR to your staking wallet address, on Base. StackR sponsors gas on Base, so it's quick and free.
My OMI is on StackR, on Ethereum
StackR has its own bridge option, and it works differently: it swaps your OMI, selling it on Ethereum and buying OMI on Base. Because it's a trade, the amount you receive includes slippage, often a few percent. Bridging in OMI Unlimited moves your OMI 1:1, and you only pay Ethereum gas. The steps below use OMI Unlimited.
- Make sure your StackR wallet has ETH on Ethereum. StackR sponsors gas on Base, but sending on Ethereum is paid in ETH.
- Send your OMI from StackR to your staking wallet address, on Ethereum.
- Send ETH on Ethereum to the same address, around $10, to pay the gas for the bridge. You can send it from StackR or withdraw it from an exchange.
- Continue with Step 2.
My OMI is in my own wallet, on Ethereum
You have two options:
- Stake from that wallet. Connect it to OMI Unlimited, make it your staking wallet, and bridge from it (see bridging from your own wallet). It needs ETH on Ethereum for gas.
- Stake from the embedded wallet made for you. Send your OMI on Ethereum to your staking wallet address, along with ETH on Ethereum for the gas, then bridge from there.
My OMI is already on Base
You're ready, with nothing to bridge. Either stake from that wallet, or send your OMI on Base to your staking wallet. Then skip to Step 3.
Step 2: Bridge in OMI Unlimited
From the embedded wallet made for you
- Open the Wallet tab and tap Bridge. Once your OMI on Ethereum has arrived, you can also tap Bridge OMI to Base on the Ethereum side of your balances.
- Under You send on Ethereum, enter the amount, or tap Max next to your balance to send all of it.
- Check the details. You receive on Base shows the same amount (1:1). Below it, you'll see the Ethereum gas, how much ETH you have on Ethereum, and how long it takes to arrive.
- Tap Bridge to Base and confirm in the pop-up. There are two confirmations: an approval that lets Base's bridge move exactly that amount, then the bridge itself.
- That's it. The sheet closes, and your Wallet tab shows Bridging … OMI to Base until it lands. It usually takes a few minutes, sometimes up to 20, and OMI Unlimited lets you know when it arrives.
From your own wallet
- Connect your wallet in OMI Unlimited and make it your staking wallet: on the Wallet tab, under Wallets, tap the ⋯ next to it and choose Set as staking wallet. If you already have an active stake, your staking wallet stays the one that holds it until that stake ends.
- Tap Bridge, enter the amount and check the details, as above.
- Tap Bridge to Base. Your wallet asks to switch to the Ethereum network, then asks you to confirm twice: the approval, then the bridge. On a phone, confirm each one in your wallet app, then come back to OMI Unlimited.
- Your Wallet tab shows Bridging … OMI to Base until it lands, usually within a few minutes.
Step 3: Stake
Once your OMI is on Base, you can stake it straight away:
- Open the Stake tab.
- Enter how much OMI to stake (at least 1,000,000, with no maximum) and choose a lock period:
- 3 months: 1.0× XP
- 6 months: 1.2× XP, and eligible for Ultra Rare collectibles
- 1 year: 1.5× XP, and eligible for Secret Rare collectibles
- 2 years: 2.0× XP
Longer locks earn XP faster and can claim rarer collectibles, but your OMI stays locked until the period ends, so choose a length you're comfortable with.
- Tap Stake, check the details in Review your stake, tick the box to confirm the early exit terms, then tap Stake again.
- Confirm twice: an approve, which lets the staking contract move the OMI you're staking, then the stake itself, which locks it. Gas fees are sponsored when you stake from the embedded wallet made for you. A third-party wallet such as MetaMask pays its own gas in ETH on Base.
Your XP starts ticking up as soon as the stake confirms. To learn how XP is calculated, how to top up or extend your lock, and what you earn at season close, see How to stake OMI: a step-by-step guide.
Prefer Superbridge?
You can still bridge on Superbridge from your own wallet. It uses the same Base bridge, so it's also 1:1 with no bridge fee. It's useful if your OMI is in a wallet you don't use with OMI Unlimited, or if you want to move OMI from Base back to Ethereum, which OMI Unlimited doesn't do. On Base's standard bridge, that direction takes about 7 days. The embedded wallet made for you can't connect to Superbridge, so use your own wallet there.
Where to buy OMI
OMI is listed on major centralized exchanges, including Kraken, OKX, BingX, Gate.io and MEXC. It's also available through the Binance and Coinbase Web3 wallets, and it trades on Uniswap. Availability varies by country, so check which options are open to you. Our Get OMI page links to each one.
- Bought on an exchange? Follow the exchange path above.
- Already have ETH or USDC on Base? Swap it for OMI right in OMI Unlimited: open the Wallet tab and tap Swap. It lands straight on Base, so there's nothing to bridge.
Recommended wallets
These work on Ethereum and Base, and connect to OMI Unlimited:
Using a different wallet? Most wallets that support Base can connect to OMI Unlimited through WalletConnect. Exodus isn't supported. Download your wallet from its official site or your phone's app store, and write your seed phrase down somewhere safe and offline.
Quick answers
How long does bridging take? Usually a few minutes, sometimes up to 20. Your Wallet tab shows your OMI while it's on its way, and OMI Unlimited lets you know when it lands.
What does it cost? There's no bridge fee, only Ethereum gas, which depends on how busy Ethereum is. OMI Unlimited shows the cost before you confirm, and lets you know when Ethereum is busier than usual.
Why do I need ETH on Ethereum if gas is sponsored? Gas fees are sponsored when you stake from the embedded wallet made for you, on Base. Bridging happens on Ethereum, where the wallet pays its own gas in ETH.
I closed the app while my OMI was bridging. Is it safe? Yes. Once the bridge is confirmed on Ethereum, your OMI is on its way to Base whatever you do next, and it arrives at the same address.
Can I bridge back to Ethereum in OMI Unlimited? No. Bridging in OMI Unlimited only moves OMI from Ethereum to Base. To move OMI back to Ethereum, use Superbridge from your own wallet.
How much OMI do I need to stake? At least 1,000,000 OMI, with no maximum.
My OMI is on Base. What's next? Stake it: see Step 3 above. For everything else about staking, see How to stake OMI: a step-by-step guide.
Cryptocurrency carries risk, including total loss. OMI is a utility token, not an investment product. Always do your own research.
