Two milestones in one day
The Season 1 VeVe Gem pool started at 100,000 Gems and can grow to 150,000 through community milestones. Each one needs a total amount of OMI locked and a number of stakers, so the pool grows when the whole community takes part, not because of one large holder.
- Milestone 1: 5B OMI locked and 250 stakers grew the pool to 110,000 Gems.
- Milestone 2: 10B OMI locked and 500 stakers grew it to 120,000 Gems.
Both stay reached for the rest of Season 1, and the pool is shared among stakers when the season closes. Season 1 rewards, explained covers how it's split.
By the numbers
- 82% of stakers locked for a year or longer, and 60% chose the full 2 years. Those locks hold 87% of all the OMI staked.
- 899 staking transactions: 577 new stakes, 297 top-ups and 25 lock extensions.
- A typical stake of about 10M OMI, with no single account above 1B.
Next up: 130,000 Gems
The next milestone grows the pool to 130,000 Gems at 15B OMI locked and 750 stakers. The community is already 92% of the way to the OMI target and 77% of the way to the stakers target, and every new stake and top-up moves it closer. We'll announce it when it's reached.
How to take part
Sign in at staking.ecomi.com with your VeVe account, choose a lock period, and stake at least 1,000,000 OMI on Base. Already staking? A top-up (from 10,000 OMI) grows your stake and the XP it earns. New to staking? Start with how to stake OMI.
