How to get your OMI onto Base

Where to buy OMI and how to get it onto Base for staking, based on where your OMI is today (StackR, an exchange, or your own wallet), with step-by-step bridging on Superbridge.

OMI Unlimited runs on Base, so to stake, your OMI needs to be on Base. What you need to do depends on where your OMI is today. This guide walks through every path, and most people only need a few minutes.

First, a few basics

What's Base? Base is the most popular layer 2 network on Ethereum, offering security, reliability and low transaction costs. OMI exists on both Ethereum and Base, and OMI Unlimited runs on Base.

What's gas? Gas is the small network fee for sending tokens or using an app. It's paid in ETH by the wallet that sends the transaction, on the network you're using. Exchanges take their fee out of the amount you withdraw, and your own wallet needs a little ETH to pay it. Some apps sponsor gas for you: StackR does on Base, and OMI Unlimited does when you stake from the embedded wallet made for you.

What's a bridge? A bridge moves tokens from one network to another. We recommend Superbridge, which moves OMI through Base's standard bridge.

What's my staking wallet? The first time you sign in to OMI Unlimited with your VeVe account, an embedded wallet is made for you. The app shows it as your staking wallet. Sign-in opens with Season 1 on October 1, 2026 at 00:00 UTC. You can also stake from your own wallet: a third-party wallet such as MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet or Rainbow.

What can't my staking wallet do? It only works on Base, and it can't connect to Superbridge, because embedded wallets (like your staking wallet and your StackR wallet) have no way to sign in there. So bridge from your own wallet, then stake from it or send your OMI on Base to your staking wallet.

Stay safe

  • Only use official links, and check the address bar before you connect a wallet.
  • Never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone. ECOMI will never ask for it.
  • Never send OMI on Ethereum to your staking wallet. Exchanges withdraw on Ethereum, so never withdraw from an exchange straight to your staking wallet address. Withdraw to your own wallet, bridge to Base, then send it on.
  • Moving a large amount? Send a small test amount first.

Find your path

1. My OMI is on StackR, on Base

You're already set. There's nothing to move until you sign in.

  1. Sign in to OMI Unlimited and copy your staking wallet address from the Wallet tab.
  2. Send your OMI from StackR to that address. StackR sponsors gas on Base, so it's quick and free.
  3. Stake.

Holding OMI on StackR keeps earning bonus MCP points until October 4, 2026. Once staked, your OMI earns the daily MCP bonus in OMI Unlimited instead: up to 1,500 MCP points a day, with the full bonus at 10M OMI staked. The sooner you stake, the sooner you start earning XP too.

2. My OMI is on StackR, on Ethereum

Your StackR wallet can't connect to Superbridge, so your OMI needs a stop in your own wallet first.

  1. Set up your own wallet if you don't have one (see Recommended wallets).
  2. Make sure your StackR wallet has a little ETH on Ethereum. StackR sponsors gas on Base, but gas on Ethereum is paid in ETH, so you only need it when your OMI is on Ethereum.
  3. Send your OMI from StackR to your own wallet's address, on Ethereum.
  4. Bridge it to Base (see How to bridge on Superbridge).
  5. Stake from that wallet in OMI Unlimited, or send your OMI on Base to your staking wallet.

3. My OMI is on an exchange

Exchanges currently let you withdraw OMI on Ethereum only, not Base.

  1. Set up your own wallet if you don't have one (see Recommended wallets).
  2. While you're on the exchange, buy a little ETH (around $10 is plenty) and withdraw it to your own wallet on Ethereum. This pays for the bridge.
  3. Withdraw your OMI to your own wallet, choosing the Ethereum (ERC-20) network. Don't use your staking wallet address. The exchange takes its fee from the amount you withdraw.
  4. Bridge it to Base (see How to bridge on Superbridge).
  5. Stake from that wallet in OMI Unlimited, or send your OMI on Base to your staking wallet.

4. My OMI is in my own wallet, on Ethereum

  1. Make sure you have a little ETH on Ethereum for gas. A few dollars' worth covers the bridge.
  2. Bridge your OMI to Base (see How to bridge on Superbridge).
  3. Stake from that wallet in OMI Unlimited, or send your OMI on Base to your staking wallet.

5. My OMI is in my own wallet, on Base

You're ready. When you sign in, either:

  • Stake from this wallet. Connect it to OMI Unlimited, and keep a little ETH on Base for gas (usually a fraction of a cent per transaction).
  • Send your OMI to your staking wallet. Gas fees are sponsored when you stake from the embedded wallet made for you. Sending the OMI there from your own wallet costs a fraction of a cent in ETH on Base.

How to bridge on Superbridge

  1. Go to superbridge.app, click Connect wallet and connect your own wallet (not your staking wallet).
  2. Set the route to From: Ethereum and To: Base.
  3. Select OMI and enter the amount.
  4. Review the details. The route should be the native bridge, with no bridge fee: you only pay Ethereum gas, usually a dollar or two, and Superbridge shows the exact cost before you confirm.
  5. Click Bridge and confirm in your wallet. The first time, your wallet asks for two confirmations: an approval that lets the bridge move your OMI, then the transfer itself.
  6. Wait a few minutes. Most transfers arrive in 1 to 3 minutes.
  7. Switch your wallet to the Base network. If you don't see your OMI, add it as a custom token using the Base address above.

Tip: if you'll stake from your own wallet, or send your OMI from it on Base later, bridge a few dollars of ETH at the same time. That pays for gas on Base.

Using a different wallet? Most wallets that support the Base network can connect to OMI Unlimited through WalletConnect. Exodus isn't supported.

Download from the official site or your phone's app store, and write your seed phrase down somewhere safe and offline.

Where to buy OMI

OMI is listed on major centralized exchanges, including Kraken, OKX, BingX, Gate.io and MEXC. It's also available through the Binance and Coinbase Web3 wallets, and it trades on Uniswap. Availability varies by country, so check which options are open to you. Our Get OMI page links to each one.

  • Bought on an exchange? Follow path 3 above: exchanges withdraw OMI on Ethereum, so it needs bridging.
  • Already have ETH or USDC on Base? Swap it for OMI on Uniswap. Choose OMI as the token to receive and check the address matches the official Base address above. It lands straight on Base, so there's nothing to bridge.

Quick answers

How much OMI do I need to stake? At least 1,000,000 OMI, with no maximum.

How long does bridging take, and what does it cost? Usually 1 to 3 minutes. There's no bridge fee, only Ethereum gas, which is usually a dollar or two. Gas prices change, so Superbridge shows the exact cost before you confirm.

Can I bridge with my staking wallet? No, and you don't need to. Embedded wallets can't connect to Superbridge. Bridge from your own wallet, then stake from it or send your OMI on Base to your staking wallet.
